CORE OUTCOME MEASUREMENT SET

« Back to Glossary Index

A Core Outcome Measurement Set (COMS) is a standardized set of outcome measures that should be included in clinical trials and observational studies to ensure that the key outcomes of interest are consistently assessed and reported. The goal of a COMS is to increase the comparability and reliability of research results, and to facilitate the pooling of data across studies for meta-analyses and systematic reviews.
