Effectiveness trials are a type of clinical trial that assess the effectiveness of a medical intervention in real-world settings and with typical patient populations. They aim to answer the question of how well a treatment works in routine clinical practice, as opposed to under the highly controlled conditions of a randomized controlled trial (RCT).
