OMERACT Emerging leaders
The OMERACT Emerging Leaders Program is an initiative, started in 2018, designed to identify, support, and develop the next generation of leaders within the OMERACT community.
The Emerging Leaders Program focuses on providing early-career researchers, clinicians, and other collaborators with opportunities to engage with experienced mentors, gain exposure to OMERACT's work, and develop skills relevant to their careers. The program includes activities such as:
-
Mentoring and networking: Connecting emerging leaders with established professionals in the field, allowing for knowledge exchange, guidance, and support.
-
Skill development workshops: Providing training in areas such as research methodology, outcome measure development, and consensus-building techniques.
-
Participation in OMERACT working groups: Involving emerging leaders in the ongoing work of OMERACT, giving them the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of core outcome sets and other initiatives.
-
Leadership roles in organizing events and activities: Allowing emerging leaders to take on responsibilities within the OMERACT community, enhancing their leadership skills and visibility.
