A scoping review is a type of literature review that is used to map out and summarize existing knowledge on a particular topic or research question. Unlike a systematic review, which aims to answer a specific research question by identifying and synthesizing all available evidence, a scoping review aims to provide a broad overview of the literature on a topic, with the goal of identifying gaps in knowledge and areas for further research.
