Expanding Core Outcome Sets with Emerging Concepts

OMERACT Bolt-On Working Groups develop add-on outcomes that can be integrated into existing Core Outcome Sets (COS) to reflect evolving research priorities and emerging concepts in rheumatology and musculoskeletal health.

Rather than replacing established frameworks, Bolt-Ons enhance and extend them ensuring that OMERACT remains responsive, inclusive, and reflective of new scientific insights and patient experiences. These additions help capture important aspects of care and health that were not part of earlier Core Outcome Sets.
