an OMERACT Working group who’s focus is dedicated to a specific disease or health condition. These groups typically operate within rheumatology but may extend to related fields. Their primary purpose is to develop, evaluate, and refine Core Outcome Sets (COS) tailored to that disease, ensuring that outcomes measured in research are relevant, standardized, and meaningful to patients, clinicians, and othercollaborators.
Example
Within OMERACT, the Psoriatic Arthritis Disease Working Group (PsA) brings together researchers, clinicians, industry partners, and patient research partners to identify priority outcomes, test instruments, and develop a Core Outcome Set specific to psoriatic arthritis.
