Business Advisory Committee (BAC)

a formal group within OMERACT composed of representatives from sponsoring and organizations. The BAC provides support OMERACT’s mission of improving outcome measurement in rheumatology and related fields. It strengthens collaboration between OMERACT and its sponsors by advising on sustainability, engagement opportunities, and mutual priorities.

Examples

A pharmaceutical company joins OMERACT as a Platinum-level sponsor. Its representatives receive seats on the OMERACT Business Advisory Committee (BAC), where they meet annually with OMERACT leadership and other sponsors to discuss funding priorities, emerging research areas, and ways to support OMERACT working groups.
