Term: Mixed Methods Research
Categories: Research Methods & Study Design
an approach to inquiry that combines both qualitative and quantitative research methods within a single study or research program. By integrating numerical data (quantitative) with detailed, contextual information (qualitative), this approach provides a more comprehensive understanding of complex questions than either method alone. It can be used sequentially (one method following the other) or concurrently (both methods at the same time), depending on the research design.
