Industry

the organized production of goods or services within an economy. It encompasses companies, factories, and enterprises engaged in manufacturing, processing, or providing services at scale. In a broader sense, “industry” can also mean a particular sector or field of economic activity (such as the pharmaceutical industry).

Example
The pharmaceutical industry consists of companies involved in researching, developing, producing, and marketing drugs and therapies to improve health outcomes. It includes multinational firms such as AbbVie, Novartis, and GSK, as well as smaller biotech companies.
