Clinician- Reported Outcome (ClinRO)

an outcome measure based on a clinician’s direct observation, clinical judgment, or examination findings of a patient’s health status. Unlike patient-reported outcomes (PROs), ClinROs are documented by trained health professionals, not the patient themselves. They are frequently used in clinical research and practice to evaluate disease activity, progression, or response to treatment.

Examples
In rheumatoid arthritis (RA) trials, the swollen joint count and tender joint count recorded by a rheumatologist are clinician-reported outcomes (ClinROs) used to assess disease activity and response to therapy.
