Maria-Antonietta D’Agostino, MD, PhD is Professor of Rheumatology at Versailles-Saint-Quentin University (INSERM U1173, Laboratoire d’Excellence INFLAMEX), and APHP, University Hospital Ambroise Paré, France and Visiting Professor at Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine, Leeds University, UK and Epidemiology Department of VU Medical Center in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Her major research interests are the standardisation and validation of power Doppler ultrasound as an outcome measurement instrument for the management of rheumatic diseases, mainly rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis/spondyloarthritis and osteoarthritis. Prof. D’Agostino engages in a wide range of research, ranging from the methodological and proof-of-concept approach through to large national and international clinical trials. She has published several major papers in the field.

She is OMERACT Executive Committee Member and co-leader of the imaging/biomarkers theme, mentor of the OMERACT Ultrasound Working Group, past-chair of the EULAR standing committee on musculoskeletal imaging and faculty member of the EULAR sonography courses. Close
